The restaurant imposes itself and immediately stands out with a cuisine that promotes seasonality, proposing ingredients from Ivano’s garden and local products in the dishes, selected with extreme care.

His proposal is not vegetarian, but the vegetable world is certainly at the center of the dish.
Even in the elaboration of more contemporary dishes, Arginvecchio never renounces the genuineness of flavors and the influence of the Tuscan tradition, but rather in the reinterpretation he always seeks the exaltation and maximum expression of the authenticity of the raw material.

From the traditional dishes, from the Tuscan “ciccia” cooked on the grill, to chicken and fried cod, tordelli up to the boiled meat and tortellini in broth in the colder seasons, Johann Torcigliani at the helm of the kitchen since 2018, inserts new dishes into the menu always starting and in any case from the ingredients based on availability and seasonality, reinterpreting them with flair and wisdom.

Our history

A restaurant that exudes the scent of love and roses

The Arginvecchio is not just a restaurant, it is a house that exudes the scent of love, food, affection and roses. A greenhouse of roses. Yes, because after concluding an important chapter for the Da Prato family lasting almost twenty-five years, that of the rose floristry enterprise, the incipit of Arginvecchio’s journey was written one evening in 2005, when Ivano with his wife Lorenza and their children Lucia and Simone decide to share their passion for food by opening their doors.
Thus was born the Arginvecchio which brings with it all those principles of those who know the value of the land and its fruits, of those who respectfully follow the cycle of the seasons. A love that leads the family to transform the rose greenhouses into vegetable garden areas in a completely natural way from which to draw the products for the table. In fact, the restaurant immediately imposed itself and stood out with a cuisine that promotes seasonality, proposing ingredients from the garden and local products in the dishes, selected with extreme care.
